During the rainy season in early June, I had the opportunity to travel to Khemarat District. The journey wasn't very convenient because it was the monsoon season, and the roadsides showed signs of previous rainfall. I traveled through Trakarn Phuechphol District before heading to Khemarat District. This route has changed a lot. Looking back to my student days when I had the chance to travel to Khemarat, the roads weren't as convenient as they are today. I arrived in Khemarat at 5 PM. My first destination on this trip was the Khemarat Mekong River viewpoint, which I consider a historical spot for me. Every time I visit, I always stop by to enjoy the view of the Mekong River first. I love the view of the Mekong River, looking across to Laos, which still retains its natural beauty. After that, I went to visit the Khemarat Walking Street. The atmosphere today was very lively. People from all over flocked to this walking street. I had visited the Khemarat Walking Street in its early years, and the atmosphere today has changed a lot compared to many years ago. There are many more diverse goods for sale, the street is longer than before, and most importantly, there are beautiful traditional dance performances that people gather to watch around 6 PM after the flag ceremony. This makes the atmosphere of this walking street even more interesting. The lights and colors create a festive, Isaan temple fair atmosphere, giving me wonderful new memories in Khemarat. ..
