Although with a mighty hand the Lord God delivered the Israelites out of their bondage from Egypt, yet it seemed a more difficult task to get Egypt out of the hearts of the Israelites after their deliverance. So it is with many today who profess to be saved, redeemed, and born-again through faith in Jesus Christ. They will readily boast of knowing where they are going when they die; that they have been saved from the eternal penalty of their sins. Yet they have no desire to be saved from the power of those sins on this side of the grave that they might learn to walk in holiness and be conformed to the image of the Christ who demands obedience to the sacred will of their heavenly Father.
