Ricardo expressed gratitude for the support he has received from “the municipality, the state, Brazil, and the basketball community.” The professor has been volunteering with basketball for 20 years. He says that traveling is always a delicate point in the athletes' routine. “But it is an essential element to compete and experience the sport,” he points out. “When you go to another city to compete, to put your body to the test, you think that no athlete will get hurt, that everyone will come back well. That's not how I wanted to see our sports court.
