Ladybrand is a small town close to the mountains of Lesotho, and can be bitterly cold in the winter. It is scenic and mountainous in the area. The town itself is quaint, but has suffered neglect due to a weak, dysfunctional municipality. Even so, the residents are friendly, spirited and positive and do their best to keep their properties looking good.
