Volksrust, the high altitude town on the edge of the Drakensberg.
Volksrust is at an altitude of 1700 metres, and is often covered in snow. Perched on the edge of the Drakensberg, and on the Mpumalanga - Natal border, it is well known to travellers on their way to Durban or Johannesburg, as many roads converge there. A scenic part of the country, with many mountains and gorges in the area.
