York Street Railroad Crossing, Elmhurst, IL

ROADWAY SIGNALS: Signal on the right: Two pairs of WCH 12×24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a WCH gate mechanism, a WCH type-3 electronic bell, and RECO LED gate lights. PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS: Gated signals: A blank out sign, a speaker, and a WCH gate mechanism. Gateless signal on the right: One pair of WCH 12×24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs. Gateless signal on the left One pair of WCH 12×24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs and a WCH type-3 electronic bell. The next crossing I got was this one way crossing in downtown Elmhurst. Not only is it busy to road traffic but it's also on the busy UP Geneva Sub (Metra UP-W Line). This is a triple track main. Just two my east is the Proviso Yard which causes lots of meets, races, slow or stopped trains, and long closures in Elmhurst. Still fun for railfans though, lol. This is my first time seeing the "danger, another train coming" warning signs in action, and I really like them as they're pretty useful, especially in a setting like this. Also, no idea why the gateless signals' lights face road traffic. Anyways, here are two UP intermodals racing through this crossing. Enjoy!
