We traveled from Izmir with a layover in Copenhagen. The Copenhagen–Vagar (Faroe Islands) flight takes approximately 2 hours. There are also direct flights from Iceland and Scotland. Flights are operated by the country's national airline, Atlantic Airways. You can also reach the Faroe Islands by sea via the Smyril Line (https://www.smyrilline.com) ferries from Denmark and Iceland. 🛃 Visa Although the Faroe Islands are an autonomous region under the Kingdom of Denmark, they are not part of the Schengen area. Therefore, entry is not possible with your existing Schengen visa. You must apply for a separate Faroe Islands visa via Denmark. If you do not have an existing Schengen visa, you must obtain a Schengen visa valid for the Faroe Islands through Denmark.
