The Beaten Path Thru Hike - Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, Montana

A thru hike on The Beaten Path in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness in Montana. This was a 26.6-mile, three-day, two-night hike through some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. We started the hike at the Clark's Fork trailhead near Cooke City, MT and hiked northeast to East Rosebud Lake. We did this hike August 24-26, 2017. We used a National Geographic map for this hike. More specifically, it was #722 Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness East (Cooke City, Red Lodge). This map is readily available from the National Geographic website, REI stores, Amazon and various other retailers. #722 Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness East (NatGeo site) https://shop.nationalgeographic.com/p...
