Crawley Signalbox

It’s May 2024 and the Signalbox at Crawley south of London is having its third open day of the year, so we had to pay it a visit and have a look at how the volunteers of the Crawley Signalbox Preservation Society have been restoring , presenting and displaying the London Brighton & South coast Railway cabin since they first saved it back in the 1990s after it was made redundant by BR back in 1986 when Three Bridges took over control of the signalling and the crossing. Our thanks to Jim for showing us around on the day itself and for those that haven’t spotted it , those blocks are replicas which they made themselves for the display and they look brilliant.
