We sold almost everything we own — and then we hit the part nobody warns you about: the waiting. There's this strange in-between nobody films. The moving sale is done, 95% of our stuff is gone, the exciting purge is behind us — but we don't actually leave the US for a few more months. So now we live in a near-empty house, finishing the boring cleaning, closing on the house, then waiting until our lsat big events take place. We are sitting in the gap between "we did the big brave thing" and "we're actually gone." That space is messier and more emotional than I expected.
