Anson Engine Museum 2026 with a unexpected relic of WW2

Today we are at Anson Engine Museum in Poynton Cheshire. Its home to around 100 engines of all types from Steam, Petrol, Diesel, Gas, Oil there is something for everyone. This was there first open day of 2026 and saw multiple engines run including many of the steam. I have used some Clips of engines from previous visits as well that weren't running yesterday, so sit back and enjoy this look around and I hope you enjoy it. Of special unexpected interest for me was the MAN Diesel Generating set which was 1 of 2 which powered, the eagles nest Hitler's Mountain retreat. When the Americans enter Munich there wasn't any Beer so they took this engine and put it in the brewery to provide power, this is where it stayed until the 1980's when it was offered to a Austrian society who when they realised the link it had. didn't want it this is when it was offered to Anson and is now in place and running. https://enginemuseum.org/
