Invicta Steams Again… A barn-find locomotive at Peter’s Railway
Invicta, the old steam locomotive, has been found abandoned in a barn workshop: She hasn’t been steamed for many years. This video tells the history of the little farm railway and the excitement of getting Invicta running again. First, finding the engine, preparing her for a boiler test, then raising steam and a triumphant return to the track!! Christopher Vine’s series of 20 books tell the story of Peter and Grandpa building and operating a railway across their farm. The Peter's Railway bookshop is here: https://petersrailway.com/shop/ “Combining real engineering with adventures and true stories, these books feed inquisitive young minds!” Bongo (or Fiery Fox in the books) is the miniature steam locomotive, made by Chris Vine, which features in the books.
