Windsurfing on Snow: DIY Formula Wind Ski sled
Finally got a chance to test this windsurf ski sled i whipped up earlier this season. Nice crusty snow surface with about a foot of crusty but soft powder underneath. Fast, good grip, and not too bad to fall on! Winds 10-30 mph. One good wipeout and smashed the GoPro right off my helmet. Close call! Need to do some footstrap position tuning and try a steeper angle on the skis, currently about 10 degrees, should be ore like 20 for better edging. Sled design is just some 2x4s cut to shape to clip my alpine ski bindings onto, lag screwed to the plywood deck with some wedge blocks to set the angle.
