Ironman 70.3 Swansea 2023

Welcome to ‪@RecoveryLabTV‬ In this video I take on my third ‪@ironmantriathlon‬ ‪@IMEurope‬ race of the season, #IM703Swansea. As always I have an incredible amount to be grateful for!! I would like to say a huge thank you to my friend Andrew for letting me stay with him, without that I would of had to travel down on race day from Cardiff, which wouldn't of been ideal. I also like to say a huge thank you to Linda for helping me with childcare on the Saturday, allowing me to travel down a day early, so I could register, film some content and focus on preparing myself mentally for the race ahead. I would also like to say a huge thank you to my partner, family and friends. You all travelled down super early to stand in the rain for me!! I am incredibly grateful for you all and wouldn't want to race without you there. It honestly makes racing so much better! Finally, to everyone who has shown me nothing but love, support and kindness. Whether that be online, or in person. I appreciate your comments, your cheers and your celebrations. Thank you for joining me on this journey, you help motivate me and inspire me to want to help even more people along the way. Ironman 70.3 Swansea was an incredible race, from start to finish. The weather made the first hour very hard, causing multiple crashes, punctures and near misses. It made an already very technical bike course, even more technical, demanding more bike handling skills. This made for an exciting race, opening up the field of athletes, making it anyones game. The run was very windy whilst running out to the Mumbles, which made it harder whilst holding the #Rock2Recovery flag. However, I held it proudly and stood tall. I'd like to say a huge congratulations to all of the #RecoveryLabTV athletes who competed, each and everyone had a PB, dispite one of them coming off the bike very early on. Proud of you guys!!!
