After a wild couple of weeks rushing to finish our 1973 Holiday Rambler, we finally hit the road — and yes, we made it to the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival in Michigan! This was our first real trip in the camper since the big renovation, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We camped off-grid for FREE in one of the festival’s parking lots (yep — no hookups, just us and the open skies). It was such a great weekend for budget-friendly family fun, and a sweet reward after all the chaos of getting the camper ready.
