West Coast Van Festival 2026 Day 1

The West Coast Van Festival on Vancouver Island showed up and showed out on the first day and I'm excited to take you along for the ride! I left the Comox Valley at around 10am and drove the 1 hour to Coombs, where the organizers led me in where to park and set up the van for the next 3 nights. Michelle and Ruby will join us tomorrow for day 2 and 3. But for now, its just me and the van! We have never been to anything like this before, and to be honest, its the first time we take out the van in its full build. When we first bought it last year, we took it out on a few trips, one of our favourites was to Bamfield, you'll hear about this particular trip in this video at the end and why it holds a special place for me. In this video, we'll take you along as we explore the festival grounds, check out some amazing van builds, meet fellow adventurers, and share what it's really like attending the very first (of many!) West Coast Van Fest. Whether you're dreaming of vanlife, building your own camper van, or simply love camping and adventure, we hope you'll enjoy coming along for the journey. People travelled from the United States, other parts of Canada and different parts of the Island just to be part of this truly special community. I'd especially love it if you stayed through til near the end, where I share why we decided to name the van Diamond, who inspired so much of our adventure story and remains part of every journey we take. 📍 Coombs, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada #VanLife #WestCoastVanFestival #CamperVan #VanConversion #VancouverIsland #CampingLife #AdventureTravel #VanBuild #FurRoadDiaries #RoadTrip #OffGridLiving #CamperLife Subscribe for more adventures: 🚐 Van Life 🏕️ Camping & Exploring 🌲 Vancouver Island Adventures 📸 Travel & Outdoor Lifestyle Thanks for joining us on the journey.
