Алматы-1: район, где время остановилось

In this video, we visited the Almaty-1 district, one of the most atmospheric and nostalgic areas of the city. We started our walk from the Almaty-1 train station, photographed old Soviet bus stops decorated with unusual mosaics made from remnants of pottery, walked through a park with a sculpture of Lenin, and visited the Railway Workers' Palace of Culture and the Alash Stadium. We also strolled along a green promenade, saw old reed-frame houses, found the house where the film "Balcony" was filmed, walked along Akan Sery Street, photographed the Railway Hospital, and concluded our walk at the Laffa café. Almaty-1 is a completely different Almaty. It has preserved the atmosphere of the old city, Soviet architecture, quiet courtyards, unusual details, and places that preserve the memory of the past.
