The 6 o'clock news highlighted: The Brazilian Northeast concentrated the 10 most violent municipalities in the country in 2025, according to the 20th Brazilian Yearbook of Public Security, released by the FBSP (Brazilian Forum of Public Security). Bahia has half of the municipalities that appear in the ranking, followed by Ceará with three — one of which is the most violent. Pernambuco and Paraíba have one each.
