British Railways Standard Class 7MT 70000 Britannia Designed by Robert Riddles The first BR standard locomotive, emerging from Crewe Works on 2nd January 1951. The locomotive is preserved by the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust and operated by Locomotive Services Limited, as part of the Icons of Steam fleet, running railtours under the Saphos Trains brand. We see the locomotive on the West Coast Main Line, including a famous climb of Shap following Jubilee Galatea, over the Settle & Carlisle line and in plain black livery around London.
