PGA Tour 2K25 - Club de Golf Chapultepec

Designer: Eduarshk. Club de Golf Chapultepec: This is the members version. Par 72. If you want to experience the tour version go for Chapultepec GC - Tour. Par 71. Founded in 1921 and designed by legendary architect Willie Smith and his brother Alex. Percy Clifford made a huge redesign in 1972. Is one of the most traditional and exclusive sports venues in the country. Known for its high difficulty, it has hosted elite events, including the Mexican Open and the PGA Tour. The name "Chapultepec" comes from Nahuatl, literally meaning "On the hill of the grasshopper." The WGC-Mexico Championship golf tournament was played here for 4 years, held consecutively from its first edition in 2017 until 2020. This is where Tiger Woods hit a spectacular fade to the green from the 9th-hole bunker in round 2 of 2019. Unquestionably, one of the best shots in history. Being at high altitude causes the ball to travel further, altering distance calculations. As a result, various tour players have reached the green on several par-4s on multiple occasions. It would be excellent if the game included a setting of this type to alter the flight path. However, for now, we'll have to play this course as if it were at sea level. My design attempts to reflect the course as it was up until 2025, since major adjustments were made to several holes for 2026. The course plays as a par 72 for members and a par 71 for competition, as the par-5 8th hole is played as a par 4 in the tour version. I want to give a huge thanks to Stefan Idstam, as the practice round he recorded really helped me get some incredibly important references for my design. I also want to take this opportunity to highlight that his game is amazing! Of course, thanks to his wife, who acted as the camera operator during his round, and to Jaime, who was his caddie. Also, a big thanks to Rick Shiels, who recorded his round at the club. To him and his entire team: it is always a delight to watch his videos. Hope you guys enjoy and Welcome to Mexico City!
