When units arrived, they found a car that had been hit by a train and a Metrolink train stopped several hundred yards down the tracks. The lone occupant in the car was transported to a local area hospital by ground AMR suffering from unknown injuries. The Metrolink train remained at the scene, and did have an unknown number of passengers on it. No injuries were reported on the train. The tracks were shut down causing delays for other railway transportation and remained stopped for an unknown duration.
