An extravagantly utilitarian knife for gardeners and whittlers. Michael May Ettrick Pruner in Elm.

Salutations Ladies and Gentlemen. Today I'll be discussing the third of my recent acquisitions from Michael May of Sheffield, England. This particular knife is one of my all-time favourite designs, the Ettrick. It however, is quite special, as it has a 'Peach-Pruner' blade as opposed to a traditional Wharncliffe. It features brass pins, liners and bolsters. A C70 carbon blade. Elm handles and a fileworked blade and spring. It isn't perfect, like most of Michael's knives, but it's a classically handsome knife nevertheless. I apologize for not seeming as professional as I usually strive to be. This video was one of the hardest to make, oddly enough. I can estimate over a dozen or more failed 'takes', before I settled with this one. Even now, it could be better. I have discussed the history of the Ettrick in previous videos. Here is an example if you're curious:    • Arthur Wright & Son Ettrick (yes, again) i...   For those wanting a review on this exact knife, please see ‪@slick_slicers‬, who made an excellent video on it. His knowledge vastly outclasses mine. #britishblades #knives #gentleman #edc
