Classic Lionel Trains – Postwar Steam: Scout Locomotives Part 1 - 1946-1954
The scout series was a low-cost introductory line of the postwar Lionel sets. The ancestor model was the 1654 offered in 1946. In the 1948 catalogue, Lionel introduced the scout series with the first loco, the 1001. They continuously offered scout sets until 1954. This video shows most of the catalogued locos of that first period.
