Humility breeds security if you let it - Back to basics

Humility is not about avoiding complements, or thinking of yourself as of little value, or worth, it is about understanding that God is God and we are not. Humility is about allowing ourselves to be in our respective place in the natural order of life rather than us trying to become God in ourselves. This is not only tiring to try, but also dangerous. Not because God is going to smite you down, but rather because when we try to become a god naturally step off of the Rock, leading us into the dense and dangerous forest of temptations and snares. If however we allow ourselves to submit and constantly return to a place of humble reliance on our loving Father then our internal peace and security will continue to grow within us until we no longer fear even death, but are willing to go anywhere with God always.
