🧓 Ms. Cham (88 years old, Hanoi) was admitted to Tam Anh General Hospital in Hanoi in a coma due to pneumonia complicated by respiratory failure, multiple organ failure, and septic shock. 🚨 Upon admission, the emergency team promptly assessed and aggressively treated her, intubating her, providing mechanical ventilation, and administering antibiotics. After overcoming the critical stage, she was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for further treatment. 🔻 There, she received specialized treatment including: ➖ Sedation, mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and continuous hemodialysis to control infection and multiple organ failure. ➖ A chest CT scan revealed bilateral pneumonia, particularly inflammation of the middle lobe of the right lung, with significant sputum production. ➖ At the bedside, the team performed bronchoscopy to suction sputum, which helped improve respiration promptly. Thanks to the swift coordination, decisive action, and dedication of the Emergency and Intensive Care doctors, Mrs. Cham overcame the critical stage: ☑️ After 5 days of intensive treatment, Mrs. Cham's respiratory condition gradually improved, the endotracheal tube was removed, and infection indicators decreased significantly.
