BBC Election 97 part 15
As you would have seen it on the following afternoon*, here is the BBC's coverage of the 1997 election. Beginning with the 3pm news bulletin presented by Jill Dando, a local news bulletin for the South East from Gwenan Edwards the weather from Suzanne Charlton. The final hour of the programme is presented by David Dimbleby with Peter Snow, Anthony King and Jeremy Paxman conducting interviews. After the end of the programme, another news bulletin is followed by trails and the start of Children's BBC - apparently unscheduled. This section runs from 3 PM to just before 4 PM on Friday 2 May. This election coverage is elsewhere on Youtube but without the onscreen results graphics that were visible to viewers on the morning.
