Although the witness categorically denied that Martínez was his front man, the documentary evidence complicates his version of events. Arturo Criado, deputy director of El Español, intervened in the conversation, explaining that the defense is attempting to invalidate the evidence obtained from mobile phones intercepted by US security agencies, specifically Customs and Border Protection and the DEA.
