Former Supreme Court Justice Adolfo Prego has analyzed Zapatero's legal situation following his testimony before Judge Calama, asserting that his legal outlook has not improved, but rather remains "just as bad." During his appearance on the TRECE program 'El Cascabel,' hosted by José Luis Pérez, Prego maintained that the judge is not seeking to have the former president prove his innocence, but rather to assess whether there is sufficient evidence to demonstrate his guilt. For Adolfo Prego, the situation is very worrying for the former president. "I wouldn't want to be in his shoes; I would be very worried," he confessed. He insisted that, although the evidence points in a very negative direction, this is not enough for a conviction. "It smells bad, very bad, very bad, but that's not enough for a conviction, though it is enough to indict him," he stated, clarifying the threshold necessary to initiate a trial.
