Hot Halibut Bite and Dungeness For Days!🎣🦀🔥 Alaskan Halibut Fishing - Juneau, Alaska JUNE 2026

The halibut were CHEWING and the crab pots were LOADED!!! 🎣🦀🔥 I was joined by a couple friends visiting from the East Coast for this mid-June adventure near Juneau, Alaska. With a massive -4.5 tide and the bite turning on around low tide, we found ourselves in the middle of one of the hottest halibut bites of the season! The crew put 12 halibut in the boat, and every fish was caught jigging the 7oz Fire Eye Glow Jig. The Pacific cod were also keeping us busy between halibut hookups, making for nonstop action all day long. On the crabbing side, the pots were stuffed with keeper Dungeness! Good bait makes a difference, and these pots were loaded with a mix of halibut, Pacific cod, and black cod remains that the crab simply couldn't resist.
