Making delicious Fish Biryani - with Baby hake and boiled eggs

Fish biryani can be a more complicated recipe to follow but the reward at the end is delicious enough to make it worth the trouble. Requires some preparation as well as simultaneous steps. Follow along as I use baby hake that we got, but the process for any other fresh fish will be the same. Ingredients 800g frozen baby hake To marinate the fish 2 tbs oil 1 tsp mixed masala 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp fine salt to taste Crack of black pepper Sprinkle of mixed herbs Splash of lemon juice For Biryani "curry" 3 medium tomatoes grated 1 medium onion, grated 3 green chillies Biryani mix - cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, star anise and fennel 4 cloves of garlic sliced 1 tbs mixed masala 1 tsp hurdee (tumeric) 1 tsp salt 1 cup biryani dal (brown lentils) 1/2 cup frozen peas The left over marinade from the fish 1/2 cup of the oil used to fry the fish 1/2 onion for garnish - fried in 1/2 cup oil 4 eggs, boiled Dhania to garnish 2 cups par cooked rice (follow steps in chicken biryani recipe) Best served with dhal and salad or sour milk salad. Will serve up to 6-8 people but can also be kept in the fridge because it will definitely taste better the next day!
