I boarded the Taiheiyo Ferry "Ishikari," which runs from Tomakomai West Port in Hokkaido to Nagoya Port in Aichi Prefecture. The "Ishikari" is approximately 200 meters long, 27 meters wide, and has a maximum speed of 26.50 knots. This route takes approximately 40 hours and is the longest ferry route in Japan. The voyage distance is approximately 1,330 km. We briefly disembarked at Sendai Port during the voyage. The ferry is equipped with facilities such as a restaurant, large public bath, massage machines, a game corner, and a shop, making it an enjoyable ferry ride even for long periods of time. The room I stayed in this time was a spacious first-class Japanese-style room, one of only four on the ferry, with a capacity of four people. We'll introduce you to a 40-hour ferry journey from Tomakomai West Port to Nagoya Port, staying in one of four "first-class Japanese-style rooms"! This time, we decided not to use the onboard restaurant, but instead relaxed in our room, enjoying sushi and bento boxes we brought with us.
