Rudra Veena Anatomy (Parts, Name, & Mythology)

Hello friends, I wanted to make this video to describe the different parts to the Rudra Veena, as well as discuss why this instrument is called a Rudra Veena and some of the differences between the Rudra Veena compared to other Veenas. I also speak a short bit on the Hindu mythology of where this instrument comes from. The Rudra Veena is a sacred ancient instrument which unfortunately in modern times has become exceedingly rare. It is my hope that this video will shed some light on the different parts & etymology of the Rudra Veena. I’m very happy to share this information as it is not always exactly easy to find since not many people get to experience this beautiful instrument. I greatly encourage anyone with an interest in this instrument and music to contact a teacher to help guide them to the right path.
