Finding a Guru (Dhrupad, Rudra Veena, & The Guru–Shishya Tradition)

Hi there:) I wanted to make this video to give my personal thoughts and experiences relating to the Guru–shishya tradition & how I’ve come to study Dhrupad on the Rudra Veena under my Guru Madhuvanti Pal. I’m still getting used to making these YouTube videos and becoming more comfortable in front of the camera so the video may be a little rambling. I am currently working on making more focused videos with a better production quality. But I hope this video may possibly help inspire someone who is curious about this ancient tradition and learning this music, as I have found having a Guru is honestly essential to learning Indian classical music in any serious sense.
