Martin, Howard and Norman, take to the river on their third, annual fishing trip, having a change from the River Test in Hampshire, and headed closer to home over in the Yorkshire Dales.. The Red Lion Hotel was a great place to stay, you get your day ticket from the reception for £35, a real bargain considering how much river you get to fish.. Its endless, theres so much river to go at, you'll need a week to cover it all.. Its the first time i've done any Yorkshire Fly Fishing, and have to say, i will return very soon.. We caught plenty of brown trout on Klinks, nymphs and dry flies, with most of my fish caught on a light bodied klink hammer.. Fly Fishing in Yorkshire is well recommended, and so is the Red Lion.. We hired a cottage for the night, very comfortable and everything you'll need for a good nights sleep before heading back down the river.. The food was great for evening meal, and the breakfast was first class..
