Four Wheel Campers - Overlanding KROATIEN mit dem Pickup Camper & Wohnkabine - Teil 1 von 6

In May 2024 we set off on a Croatia overlanding tour. 4x4 Moments organized this for us. We advertised the tour for owners of Four Wheel Campers camper cabins at the end of 2023 and were able to fill the places quite quickly. In total, apart from our guide Samir, only two vehicles were not equipped with a Four Wheel Campers camper cabin. One of them was Patrick's Dodge RAM 1500, who was really excited about the detachable cabins at the end of the tour. Another vehicle was a classic Range Rover with a roof tent and H license plate. We met on the island of Krk and then commuted between mountains and sea from Monday to Friday. Many exciting and impressive routes delighted us with wonderful landscapes. We roamed through the Velebit Mountains, drove over the Alan Pass, visited Winnetou locations and marveled at the Mamet Cave. Our overnight spots were sometimes by the sea and sometimes high in the mountains. There was a lot of delicious grilled food and great conversations and experiences. An all-round successful trip with a really great group. Within a day and a half of relaxed driving, you can get from the Ruhr area to the Mediterranean. The only downside is the prices in Croatia. I found them to be steep in the supermarket, in the restaurant and at the gas station. The days when friends and acquaintances went to Croatia to go on a sports boat holiday for "narrow boats" are long gone. The incredibly diverse landscape of such a tour makes up for that. There were so many beautiful impressions that I would love to go back there again.
