Toyota Hilux camper with a completely new bed design: In this room tour, I'll show you the new pickup camper for off-road camping, where you sleep in the alcove like in a luxury hotel. The new bed is my absolute favorite feature. This version of the Toyota Hilux camper has grown in size: 5 cm higher, 5 cm longer, and an additional 30 cm in the front alcove. At 2.59 m high, it remains just under the height of a high-cube shipping container, meaning that simply letting some air out is enough for the camper to fit inside. The alcove has grown from 50 to 80 cm because the new bed design is now located there. This transforms this pickup camper into a true off-road camper for extended trips. Weight distribution and weights: Total weight without driver with full tanks (fuel 127 liters & water 80 liters): Front axle: 1320 kg / Rear axle: 1740 kg / Total: 3060 kg. Weight ratio: Front axle: 43% / Rear axle: 57% The bed in the alcove is the star: As soon as the pop-up roof raises, the bed opens (almost) automatically via gas springs and is fully supported within seconds. It features a custom-made mattress with ventilation, a two-zone core, and a plush cover, providing hotel-like sleeping comfort. From the bed, you can easily access the refrigerator, bedside table, and three independent lights. Sleeping downstairs is, of course, still possible. The bed itself is also accessible.
