Elizabeth of York - How Villains Are Made (The White Princess)

« You made me a Tudor Queen, and now you would just take that from me ! » Twenty years. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't celebrate this anniversary by taking it upon myself to dedicate a montage to a figure I hate. Or rather, used to hate. On my first viewing of 'The White Princess,' Elizabeth of York was abhorrent to me : her betrayal of her own family, her cruelty… Blinded by the atrocities she committed, I struggled to move beyond my anger towards her, despite Jodie Comer's superb performance. But making this edit allowed me to look more closely and better understand the decisions of this York queen, reimagined as a Tudor queen. She is, above all, a trapped woman, first an instrument of her mother's revenge, then forced to endanger the very life for which she had to sacrifice everything as soon as the tide turned. It's hard to forgive her for what she did (Teddy and Richard, forever in my heart), but I feel I better understand the inextricable nature of her situation now. Cornered, she had to resort to the worst to survive. Character : Queen Elizabeth of York Actress : Jodie Comer Fandom : ‘The White Princess’ Music : “How Villains Are Made” – Madalen Duke feat.
