How to make watercolour coasters using reverse stencilling

I had such fun making coasters when I was trying out some acrylic pens, that I started to wonder about other ways I could decorate wooden coaster blanks and this film is the result. I show you how to prepare the wood coasters with watercolour ground and then practice different backgrounds such as salt and plastic wrap textures. Then I use some stencils to lift out, before sealing them. This is an enjoyable project when you want to play with watercolour but not paint anything too big and serious. Along the way you will improve your technique and discover new properties as well as end up with some decorative and functional items for the home.
