How Fulton Hogan Resurfaced Invercargill Airport’s Runway in 33 Night Shifts
Fulton Hogan delivered a renewed runway at Invercargill Airport Limited after months of planning, 33 night shifts and 15,000 tonnes of asphalt. Because runway resurfacing happens only about every 15 years, every shift was carefully planned in 15-minute increments to keep the airport operating and ensure the runway was ready before the first flight each morning. Supported by specialist Fulton Hogan teams from Canterbury, the Southland crew helped reduce risk, protect safety and deliver a high-quality runway renewal that will keep Southland moving safely and reliably for years to come.
