125KM Bowron Lakes Canoe Circuit (7 Days of Pure Wilderness)

Day 1–3 of our Bowron Lakes Canoe Circuit set the tone fast. We started with a brutal 2.4km uphill portage into Kibbee Lake, overpacked and quickly learning that every extra pound matters. From there it was more portaging, soaked gear, and paddling through Kibbee and Indian Lake before reaching Indian Point Cabin for our first night. Spirits were high even after a long, wet start. Day 2 brought better weather and bigger water as we hit Isaac Lake. After a rough muddy portage in, we were rewarded with calm paddles, mountain peaks breaking through the clouds, and a stop at Wolverine Shelter before continuing on to Lynx Creek Cabin for the night. Day 3 turned colder and more unpredictable as we made our way toward The Chute, with stops along the way including a tiered log-jam waterfall, a friendly hummingbird encounter, and a full scout of The Chute before setting up camp for what was next.
