Why We Wont Be Going Back To This Campsite / Exploring Bath In Our Motorhome

In this episode we are in Bath — one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the UK — staying at Waterside Marina and Caravan Park just outside the city centre. We start at the Roman Baths. Built in 60 to 70 AD on the site of a natural hot spring that's been producing 240,000 gallons of water every single day for two thousand years. £31 per adult, Harlow was free. Genuinely one of the best historic sites in the UK. Just maybe don't take a toddler who's learned to run. After that we jump on the open top bus tour — same as we did in Edinburgh. If you want to see as much of a city as possible with a toddler in a pushchair, a bus tour is genuinely the best move. We cover the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, the Georgian architecture and a surprising fact about the world's first postage stamped letter. Then we find what's described as the best sandwich in Bath, a pint on the way back, and we close with an honest review of the site. The location of Waterside Marina is excellent — four minutes flat walk into Bath city centre along the canal. The facilities however are a different story. Dated shower block, no hot water, weak showers, a vending machine where the shop should be. Clean and tidy but not great value for what it is. A stopover site rather than a campsite — which is fine if that's what you need. Bath itself though — we'll definitely be coming back. The food, the culture, the history. Incredible city.
