Ruinele bisericii Sf Nicolae

I set off on a new adventure in Călărași County, more precisely in the village of Pițigaia, to explore the ruins of a church dating back to 1733. Forgotten by time and severely damaged by the 1977 earthquake, this abandoned church still hides secrets among the high spires and brick walls almost half a meter thick. I was surprised to find icons, candles and even a Bible left on an improvised altar inside. All around the ruins, I also discovered an old cemetery with crosses that carry the story of many generations. Come with me to discover this place full of mystery and tranquility, where nature began to take over history.
