Sit back and enjoy the views from the open air wagon aboard this heritage train on a wet Easter Sunday in 2026 as we head through the country side from Waipara to Waikari on the Weka Pass express hauled by two vintage restored Dg class diesel locomotives at once were part of the New Zealand government railways during the 1955 to 1983 before being fully withdrawn from service to be scraped or sold.
