Ray Longstreet: Chicago's Four Corner Hustlers Chief — Ran $50,000 A Day From An Ankle Bracelet
Ray Longstreet — known as Ray Ray and Strawberry — ran the West Side faction of the Four Corner Hustlers out of West Garfield Park, Chicago. He collected street rent from corner dealers and rival gang leaders alike, including Antonio "Psycho" Johnson of the New Breeds. His right-hand man, Anthony Sutton, ran cocaine supply lines as far as Milwaukee. At its peak, the operation grossed an estimated $50,000 a day. Longstreet ran all of it while wearing a federal ankle bracelet. Operation Street Sweeper began in December 2003 — seven months before it was officially announced. By the time agents moved, they had tracked a hidden-compartment conversion van, recorded thousands of wiretapped calls, and documented the full structure of the conspiracy. On May 25, 2005, federal agents came to the address they already had. Twenty-nine people were charged. Twenty-eight pled guilty. Ray Longstreet was the only one who went to trial. He was sentenced to 456 months — 38 years. DISCLAIMER: This documentary is produced for educational and historical purposes only.
