And the most special detail: the property belongs to Katrine and her husband. In the video, they share the challenges and lessons learned from designing for themselves, balancing expectations, aesthetics, and real life. The project development took 3 months from preliminary study to executive planning and budgeting. The construction itself lasted approximately 5 months. The couple sought a home with spaciousness and lightness, so the project focused on light tones and vibrant color accents in the decoration and woodwork. The living room and balcony were already integrated, and the architects went further by also unifying the kitchen, creating a continuous and functional social area. The floor plan includes 3 suites, one of which is used as the husband's office, with books, sculptures, and decorations that reflect his personality. The second suite is a hybrid office, which will eventually become a baby's room without the need for major renovations. And finally, the master suite, which has a well-utilized walk-in closet with welcoming light and a relaxing atmosphere. In the living room, the entryway furniture combines aesthetics and practicality. The kitchen's highlight is the peninsula that functions as both a work and social area. In the gourmet area, an electric grill combined with a powerful range hood ensures comfort and protection for the cabinetry. The result is a bright, contemporary, and extremely functional apartment that reflects the lifestyle of the architect, her husband, and the routine they are building together.
