In this episode of Casa+, I traveled to Estoril, Portugal, to visit a house that transforms art, memory, and affection into décor. The architectural project is by Frederico Valsassina, and the redesign was done by Anna Ludmilla, a Brazilian decorator based in Portugal. The residents, she Brazilian and he Dutch, brought antique furniture, works of art, books, and various collections from the Netherlands. The challenge was to blend this European collection with the Brazilian identity of the family, preserving the original architecture and creating spaces full of personality. During the visit, we saw a collection of Dutch tiles, inherited furniture, antique fabrics transformed into cushions, a natural chlorine-free pool, a shower installed in the middle of a tree, and two impressive sculptures by Bordalo II.
