Automotores SFD-300: Los "chinos" para la Araucanía (Parte 1)

(ES) La renovación de material rodante de EFE tiene también su parte en la Araucanía desde 2021, con la llegada de los primeros 3 automotores diésel SFD-300 construidos por el consorcio chino CRRC cuya misión ha sido reemplazar los 3 TLD que estaban operativos en ese entonces (502, 503 y 504), siendo más tarde 2 de estos estos últimos intervenidos por ASMAR para el servicio Llanquihue - Puerto Montt. Respecto a los SFD, los primeros 3 se encuentran actualmente operando entre Victoria y Pitrufquén, contemplándose la llegada de unidades adicionales tanto para la puesta en marcha de la extensión a Gorbea como para el aumento a futuro de las frecuencias actuales de la red en la novena región (y quizás otros posibles corredores). Pueden alcanzar igualmente 120 km/h, pero con mejores prestaciones de seguridad, aceleración y fiabilidad respecto a los "camellos" ex-renfe. En el primero de esta serie de vídeos hechos a estos automotores de dos coches, podrán ver registros varios de las pruebas dinámicas en la Zona Central, de su traslado de Santiago a Victoria y de las unidades en plena operación, incluyendo el servicio prestado al Instituto Claret y las maniobras en Temuco para acoplar las 2 unidades necesarias para realizarlo. (EN) EFE's rolling stock renewal program has also been underway in the Araucanía region since 2021, with the arrival of the first three SFD-300 DMUs built by the Chinese consortium CRRC, whose mission was to replace the three TLD railcars that were in service at the time (Nos. 502, 503 and 504), two of which were subsequently repaired by ASMAR for service on the Llanquihue - Puerto Montt route. Concerning the SFDs, the first three are currently operating between Victoria and Pitrufquen, pending the arrival of additional units both for the extension of service from Pitrufquen to Gorbea and for the future increases in the current train frequency on the network in the Ninth Region (and perhaps other potential corridors). They can also reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h, but with better safety, acceleration and reliability features compared to Renfe's former 593 series (a.k.a. "camels"), which is the origin of TLD railcars. In the first video of this series featuring these two-car DMUs, you'll watch various footage of dynamic testing between Alameda and San Fernando, their transfer to Victoria and their days in full operation, including service to the Claret Institute and the coupling maneuvers in Temuco required to connect the two units needed for the journey.
