Bought by his grandfather Douglas with dreams of learning to play, the guitar was never used and later damaged by neglect and poor repairs. Guitar expert Julian Wallace replaces the frets, restores missing inlay, and repairs the binding—allowing the guitar to make music for the very first time. Next, Will Kirk restores a handmade card table built by Christine Clay’s father, once the centre of family card nights. Years of heat and cold have caused the veneer to peel away, but Will carefully salvages, patches, and polishes the original wood so the table can be used again in her father’s memory. Finally, Steve and Susie Fletcher repair a rare bookmaker’s tic-tac bag belonging to Terry Pool’s late father Arthur. With a broken clock face, stiff leather, and no key, the pouch is brought back to working order through meticulous lock repair and leather restoration.
