We Finally Tested It on Our Stone Barn

This week we finally tested something that many of you have been suggesting for months... A pressure washer on our old stone barn. For a long time we've been carefully removing old render and mortar by hand, but after so many viewer recommendations, we decided it was finally time to carry out a small test and see what would happen. Would it damage the walls? Would it be too aggressive? Or would it save us weeks of work? The results genuinely surprised us. 🏚️ Before we could even begin, the barn had another surprise waiting for us... Not one, but two snake skins! After a bit of research, we discovered they likely belonged to a Montpellier snake, one of the largest snakes found here in Portugal. Thankfully they're far more interested in rodents than they are in us! 🏚️ While work continued on the barn, we also returned to our future mushroom fruiting room. With the floor finally cured, it was time to start insulating the container walls. What should have been a straightforward job quickly turned into a challenge as years of dents, knocks, and battle scars in the container meant every section needed custom cuts and adjustments. Not pretty... But effective! 🍄 We also took a moment to reflect on a special milestone. This video marks our 50th episode on YouTube. When we uploaded our first video almost a year ago, we never imagined we'd still be here documenting our journey every week.
