佐藤健、「るろ剣」完結に感慨　「最後と思うと寂しい」　映画「るろうに剣心　伝説の最期編」初日舞台あいさつ(1)

Actor Takeru Sato appeared at the opening day stage greeting for his starring film "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" (directed by Keishi Otomo) held in Tokyo on September 13th. Sato introduced the film by saying, "It's a work that I may or may not encounter in my acting career. I hope that the culmination of the hard work of the staff and cast will be left behind in the form of a true 'legend.'" He added, "It's both sad and moving to think that this is my last time working on a 'Rurouni Kenshin' project." Also attending the stage greeting were Emi Takei, Yusuke Iseya, Munetaka Aoki, Ryunosuke Kamiki, Yosuke Eguchi, Tatsuya Fujiwara, and director Otomo. "Rurouni Kenshin" is based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, and tells the story of Kenshin (played by Sato), who was feared as "Battousai the Assassin" during the late Edo period, but who, after the Meiji Restoration, becomes a wanderer (Rurouni) who has sworn not to kill, and searches for a way of life in a new era while fighting various enemies... "The Legend Ends" is the second part of the new work following "Kyoto Inferno", and is set on a grand scale in Kyoto, where a new enemy awaits, aiming to take control of Japan.
